Flat day.

It's a bit of a "flat" day today; the sky is a sheet of grey cloud, with small patches of blue here and there. At ground level, everything is green and beige and this adds to the somewhat subdued view.

In the middle-distance, the industrial units of Hallam, on the other side of the railway track, add to this downbeat view with their grey and sandy-coloured structures.

Yet they also add some highlights of colour too; a wall of blue, 

a name in red,

or a building in yellow.

Nature seems subdued today but the man-made environment seems somewhat more vibrant...for a change.
